Travelling by public transport:

  • Sheffield train station is the only railway station in Sheffield and there is a taxi rank at the front of the station. It is 1.2 miles from the Sheffield Young Carers office.

  • Bus 1A leaves from Arundel Gate/Furnival Street Stop CS1 and takes about 12 minutes to reach Prospect Road/Alexandra Road, which is the closest stop to Sheffield Young Carers.

  • From this bus stop, cross the road and enter Sheaf Bank Business Park (large blue gates).

  • Go down the hill into the visitor car park.

  • Make your way across the car park towards the buildings.

  • Continue straight ahead, up the narrow cobbled drive under the bridge into the factory yard.

  • Our entrance is up the 'Riverside Block' steps on your right.

  • Enter the code 012 using the door entry system and wait for an answer, then please take a seat in the waiting area and one of our friendly members of staff will come down to collect you.

Travelling by car:

There is free on-street parking near our office. Alternatively, our visitor car park (large car park at the Prospect Road end of the estate) is free for up to 30 minutes or costs £1 for between 30 minutes and two hours (max stay two hours). Please ensure you get a ticket from the machine - even if you are staying for less than 30 minutes - because ticket inspectors are now in operation.

There are two ways to find Sheffield Young Carers by car:

1.      Via Myrtle Road

  • Turn right off Myrtle Road onto Prospect Road.

  • Turn right almost immediately and drive through the big blue gates (opposite Heeley City Farm) into Sheaf Bank Business Park.

  • If you are in a vehicle, park in the big visitor car park and buy and display a ticket.

  • Make your way across the car park towards the buildings.

  • Continue straight ahead, up the narrow cobbled drive under the bridge into the factory yard.

2.      Via London Road

  • Heading away from the City on London Road, turn left onto Gleadless Road (just before the railway bridge over the main road, signed to Heeley City Farm).

  • Go under the railway bridge and turn sharp left just before the Sheaf View Pub.

  • Go to the end of the short road (Sheaf Bank) and through the large blue gates on the right.

  • If you are in a vehicle, drive through the courtyard and down the narrow cobbled drive connecting through to the visitor car park and buy and display a ticket. Then make your way back to the courtyard.

  • Our entrance is up the 'Riverside Block' steps in the yard.

  • Enter the code 012 using the door entry system and wait for an answer, then please take a seat in the waiting area and one of our friendly members of staff will come down to collect you.
