Young People’s Assistant Project Worker
Temporary 12 month contract (maternity cover).
Full or part time (negotiable).
We have a vacancy for a highly motivated Young People’s Assistant Project Worker who will work with young people aged 8-25 and their families. The work will include supporting the planning and facilitation of groups across the city and carrying out administrative tasks to support the work of the service.
Contract: Temporary. This post is initially funded for 12 months, from Sep 24, to cover maternity leave with potential for extension (funding permitting).
Hours: SYC’s full-time working week is 35 hours. This role is available as either 28 or 35 hours (hours to be agreed based on preference of successful candidate). Includes regular evening work, up to 3 evenings per week, and occasional weekend and residential work (with notice).
Salary: £21,840 Full time (pro rato to 28 hours equals £17,472)
Pension: 5% employer contribution and 3% employee contribution
Holiday: 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays (pro rata 20 days), plus one day birthday leave.
Additional benefits: These additional benefits are non-contractual. They are confirmed until March 2025 but will be subject to funding after that)
Annual £200 Health & Wellbeing Fund per employee
Access to external supervision as well as line management supervision
Up to five days paid carers/dependents leave per year
