The Sheffield Carers Roadshow is coming to town, and it will offer unpaid carers across the city the chance to find out more about support available to them!
On Thursday 5th October, Sheffield’s Winter Garden will host The Sheffield Carers Roadshow, where 30 organisations who all support unpaid carers, will be gathered ALL DAY to share information and advice about the wide range of services and support available to carers. The Roadshow will be formally opened by the Lord Mayor, alongside local young and adult carers, when they ‘cut the ribbon’ for this first of its kind event, at 10:30am.
For health and social care professionals, businesses and other local organisations, there are FREE events and presentations running throughout the day (see the full timetable of events/presentations here), including talks from SYC’s Managing Director Sara Gowen, Sheffield Carers Center’s CEO Kerry Jones Kensah and The Carers Trust Young Carers Programme Manager Daisey Falconer.
For more information and updates on the Roadshow, visit the Sheffield Carers Centre website here. There are still some presentation slots to be confirmed, so do make sure to bookmark the page so you can re-visit for future updates.
Whether you’re an unpaid carer, a local business, a health and social care professional - or maybe just passing by whilst you’re out, make sure you visit the Roadshow on October 5th!
