‘Finding My Way’ Workbook

Addiction impacts the whole family, but young people don’t have to face it alone.

The ‘Finding My Way’ workbook is a creative and compassionate workbook designed for professionals to use when supporting children and young people aged eight and above who are currently living with, or have previously been impacted by addiction within their family.

Inspired by Sheffield Young Carers work with families through the MPACT (Moving Parents and Children Together) programme, this workbook was developed with an inspiring group of young people who drew from their own lived experiences to shape its content and approach.

‍

Finding my Way is a thoughtful, flexible and age-appropriate resource that enables young people to safely develop knowledge, explore their feelings, build resilience, and understand that they are not alone.

A downloadable copy of the workbook can be found here.

For further guidance on how to use the workbook, watch the video below.

We extend our gratitude to all the young people and families who attended MPACT. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey and in encouraging strength in each other.
