SYC has developed this Young Carer Lead Pack for Young Carer Leads in your setting. It has all the information and ideas you need to help you identify and support young carers, all in one place, and is broken down into stages for you to dip in and out of as and when you need.
Stage 1: The role of the Young Carer Lead, young carer awareness and informal identification
Stage 2: Sheffield Young Carer's formal identification process
Stage 3: Supporting young carers (in your school/college, making a referral to SYC, and signposting to other support services)
Stage 4: Embedding a culture of awareness and understanding across the whole school/ college community.
