Young Carers Action Day 2023: Brilliant new resource for education settings
It's Young Carers Action Day on 15th March and, this year, we’ve got a great new resource to help YOU to help young carers!
Young Carers Action Day is an annual event to raise awareness of young carers in the country. This year's theme is 'make time for young carers' and, to help schools and colleges do this, young people from of Young Carers National Voice (YCNV) have co-produced a brilliant new resource for education settings.
Family Project receives funding from The National Lottery Community Fund!
We are absolutely delighted to let you all know that The National Lottery Community Fund has decided fund our Family Project until 2027.

Young Carers Action Day 2022: What will you do?
Young Carers Action Day is an annual event to raise awareness of young carers and the contribution we make by caring for our family members and friends. It’s also a day to call for more action to support young carers and young adult carers and give us the extra bit of help we need to live full and healthy lives. And we need your help to do it!
SYC creates its own Power of Youth Charter!
This charter is to show our dedication and commitment to giving young people a voice and involving them in decision making across the organisation. We think it is integral to ensuring we offer the best possible support to young people and young carers.
SYC receives Excellence for Carers award!!!
We are so excited and thrilled to share that we have received an award of Excellence for Carers from Carers Trust! All carers organisations are encouraged to apply for the award as a way of marking quality. There are 10 standards with a number of key indicators including signposting, peer support and advocacy which organisations have to meet in order to receive the award. Which we are pleased to say we achieved!

We are so excited to announce that local business Mina have chosen us as their charity of the year for 2022.
The team are ready and raring to go with lots of fundraising ideas for the year. The teams first challenge will see them getting their running shoes out and tying their laces to take on the hills of the Sheffield Half Marathon this March
